Gidas Flowers - Your Local Pittsburgh Florist recently renovated!

To say 2020 has been an interesting year would be an understatement.

Many different things have been changing our world, and thus affecting how we go about our daily lives.

Many of these changes have affected the floral industry. Weddings and events have been the area of our business that has been most impacted by COVID. Walk in traffic has been less than normal, due to more people staying home.

Through all of these challenges, we still have exciting news. The long awaited remodel of our flower shop is finally complete! This project was long overdue. Our most recent update to our storefront was in 1984 (36 years ago!) Gone are the mauve countertops, yellow painted walls, and outdated lighting and furniture fixtures. The project was originally supposed to be a 10-12 week renovation. However, with COVID hitting right in the middle of construction, the project ended up taking closer to 20 weeks due to all the delays.  

But good things come to those that wait, and the feedback from customers has been tremendous. The storefront has a much more modern and warm feel. Darker colors make the space feel warm and inviting.
